Who Gets The Best Jobs?

Monday, September 27th, 2010

The very best jobs are presented to the very best candidates that apply for those jobs. And what makes someone the best candidate?

Solid experience, good educational background and the willingness to toil hard and continue learning even after getting the job.

A great educational background can be anything from technical training or specialized skill enhancement to a college degree.

Consider what would be your ideal job for the rest of your life and then do some research. What is the prospect for this specific industry?

Is it seeing a trend toward growth or is it fading away as new technologies develop and become more efficient?

What is the typical yearly income earned by people in this or similar fields? Can you realistically expect to live on this amount?

And finally, what is the educational level of virtually all of the people you would like to join.

There is no sense in earning a Master’s degree for example if we all have a Bachelor’s or less.

Solid work experience does not need to be necessarily associated with the job that your currently pursuing.

Showing that you have worked hard from the beginning of your work career can be a good thing as long as there is no evidence that you are chronically out of work or a “job jumper”. A job jumper is one that will go from job to job never taking the time to fully learn any valuable skills.

Employers spend the time and cash to train these people and then have to train someone knew a couple of weeks or days later. If you have a lot of jobs listed on your resume, be prepared to answer questions about why and the big one, how long do you intend to remain at this job.

A willingness to work can sometimes be observed as more valuable than a school degree and a fancy suit. A friend of mine just hired in two women at her firm.

The first had several degrees and the air of someone that just knows she is the better. The second woman had a college diploma and a certificate which demonstrated that she had completed a computer course at a community college.

From the very first week, it was apparent who was going to be the greater asset to the team. The educated woman spent part of every morning reapplying nail polish at her desk, and wasted time with email and personal phone calls.

The other woman came back early every morning and worked diligently every hour that she was there. She only took brief breaks and spent her lunch hours learning new skills from those around her in addition to other departments.

She took the time to learn each person’s name and was greatly liked among that traditional staff. When my friend promotes someone, the educated woman is likely to be in for a very big shock.

Finally, being willing to carry on learning throughout your work might be what makes you the best for the task.

Technology changes, as do rules and regulations. Being willing to keep up with these alterations makes you a valuable asset, and the best for the job, in spite of what that job may well be.

How To Make Some Extra Money With Online Surveys-A Review From The Expert

Saturday, September 25th, 2010

By Cindy Block-Paid Survey Depot REVIEW

I am an out of work teacher. If you took the last word in that sentence – teacher – you could change it to most anything and it would probably be right for someone reading this article. Police officer. Computer programmer. Bus driver. Secretary. It doesn’t matter. Right now so many people are out of work, we all need a little help.

I haven’t been able to find a new teaching job. In the state where I live, spending is rapidly being cut and with it go the jobs. There are more people looking and less jobs available than when I was first laid off.

My husband and I are lucky enough that we had saved money before I lost my job so we’re not in the worst position. But I definitely needed to bring some money in each month to make sure we weren’t completely draining our savings. So I started doing online surveys.

Trust me, online surveys are not glamorous. They are often boring and tedious. You can be two thirds of the way through one and suddenly be told you no longer qualify – you’ll never get those fifteen minutes back and you won’t get paid for them either. I would never advocate doing online surveys as a way to make a living.

But, as a way to bring in a small amount of money each month to help alleviate expenses, it seems to be doing the job well enough. If you ever find yourself interested in doing surveys for money, you need to be aware of a couple things to keep yourself safe.

Number one, never pay anyone for the privilege of doing surveys. Legitimate market research companies like MySurvey.com, MyView.com, or OnlyCashSurveys.com never ask for money from you. Instead, they are paid by the companies who provide the surveys for getting participants and collecting the data. If someone is asking you for money, be careful – they are likely a scam.

Number two, never put all your eggs in one basket. What I mean by this is, there is no reason to simply sign up with one survey company. If you do that, you’ll never receive enough surveys to make decent money from. Once you’ve identified legit companies, don’t only sign up to MySurvey.com. Also sign up to IPSOS or National Consumer Panel.

Take some time and do the research to see how each individual company operates. Some reward you with gift cards instead of cash. If you don’t like that, don’t join that company.

Taking online surveys for money isn’t for everyone. Honestly, it’s not really for me either. There’s only so many times you can tell someone how often you use Swanson products when cooking (really, who pays attention?). But in these tough times we often have to do what we have to do.

But, If you’re still wondering to know further and learn more, you might want to check out Paid Survey Depot REVIEW, Aubrey Johnson reputation, or…
could be the Paid Survey Depot SCAM or The Real Deal?
Check out again “Paid Survey Depot REVIEW” in http://reviewbest.net/paid-survey-depot-review-make-money-taking-surveys-online is really clear and show some proof of the reliability of the product.

Is a Resume Bank Right For You?

Tuesday, September 7th, 2010

Resume banks have become increasingly popular on the internet. Job seekers have taken a liking to the concept as it gives individuals an easier way to find and actually locate work.

Resume banks offer a convenient solution that matches qualified job seekers with employers based on specific criteria. This system is beneficial to both parties, enabling the applicant and the employer to save time and money. Some resume banks are so efficient that employers can easily access thousands of resumes in a short time without having to physically sort through them.

After the resume bank matches up an applicant with an employer, it is essentially up to them to build a connection with the hiring company. Keep in mind that this initial step doesn’t guarantee that you will be granted the job. All applicants must go through an interview procedure and prove that they are indeed the right candidate for the job.

Resume banks are effective tools for the active job seeker. However, you should not simply rely on such a system without seeking out other opportunities. Nothing is more effective than the personal approach of directly handing over your resume to the hiring manager.
